It’s absolutely crazy and fantastic how quickly a game like Pokemon Go captured the attention and imagination of millions of users. Everybody and their momma are playing Pokemon Go.

Pokemon Go encourages people to get out of the house and walk around. Many Pokestops are in parks or public areas. Due to the nature of the game, people are drawn to each other and make new friends with strangers at unexpected time and unexpected places. On top of all of this social goodness, people are leaving the house and getting exercise and fresh air. What could be better?

It sounds like rainbows and butterflies up to this point. There is a dark side to Pokemon Go, though. There have been cases of criminal elements using known Pokestops and gyms to prey on unsuspecting victims distracted by the game. People play while driving and get into car crashes. Pokemon Go can be a dangerous game and it should be played very carefully.

Another downside of the game is that it really is meant to be played in de nsely populated urban areas. Pokestops and gyms are closer together in big cities and it’s more likely that a particular Pokestop contains a Lure Module. Pokemon also seem to appear more often in populated areas. This leaves those living in suburban areas or countrysides at a serious disadvantage. This is just not fair for a game that otherwise doesn’t discriminate.

In this article, I will show you how to install a modified version of the game in order to play Pokemon Go safely from your home, travel to highly populated areas within the game, and catch rare pokemon!

How To Install Modified (Hack) Pokemon Go

I will not go into details on how to do this because there are people and videos out there that will do it much better than me.

I will explain in short and abstractly for iPhone users how to do it. First, you need to download a modified game file and then you use a tool called Cydia Impactor running on your Macbook to install it on your phone. You have to make sure that the original game is deleted first. It really is that simple.

Spoofing (Faking) Your Location In Pokemon Go

This method can be used in combination or separately from the one above. However, it’s most effective when used together. In the Pokemon Go hack above you are able to move distances on the Pokemon Go map at walking, running, or driving speeds. If you are in NYC and want to go to London, it would take forever to get there at even driving speed.

A word of caution: when you instantly teleport long distance you will get “soft banned” in the game. What this means is that you will not be able to use Pokestops, gyms, or catch pokemon. This soft ban will go away after 1-2hrs depending on the distance you teleport.
